Navy Vice Admiral to Visit Marion Campus

On September 4, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. in the Health Technology Center auditorium of Marion Technical College, Vice Admiral James "Phil" Wisecup of the United States Navy will be visiting the Marion campus as part of the Navy 50/50 project. Palace Theare Board Names New Members

Miniard Sought for Probation Violation

The Marion County Adult Probation Department is seeking 31-year-old Cassandra "Cassie" Miniard for a probation violation. She is a white female, 5'7" tall, 165 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair. Her last known address is 519 Hartford Street in Marion.

Squirrel Season Offers Hunters Preparation for Fall Hunting

Ohio's squirrel season will open on September 1 and provide hunters with an opportunity to take as many as six squirrels each day, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Ohio's squirrel season, a long-time tradition for many hunters, offers ample hunting opportunities for fox and gray squirrels across the state. This is an excellent time to take a youth hunting or scout for the upcoming deer and fall wild turkey hunting seasons. Legal hunting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to sunset daily.
