Robert Dale Emptage age 90 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday May 5, 2012 at his residence.

He was born August 4, 1921 in LaRue, Ohio to the late Marion and Rhea (Lamb) Emptage.

Geraldine Kellogg, age 82, of Marion, passed away late Friday evening surrounded by her loving family.

As she was taken home to be with Jesus, she reached the Gates of Heaven and was met there by her husband; Gerald, her grandson; Scott and her great-grandson; Lucas.

Joseph T. "Joe" DeForest, age 32, of Mount Gilead, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his residence.

On May 31, 1979, Joe was born in Marion, the son of Anne M. (Harris) DeForest and the late John W. Deforest.  He graduated from Cardington-Lincoln High School in the Class of 1997.

Randy V. Adkins of Marion was welcomed into the arms of his Master on May 4, 2012.

He was born on January 30, 1955 in Pike Co., Ky. to Edard Adkins and Vida Adkins Rose.

Randy lived most of his life in Marion.

Ralph D. “Bud” Harvey, age 80, of Mount Gilead, died peacefully on Monday afternoon, April 30, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

On July 22, 1931, Bud was born in Cyclone, Pennsylvania, one of two children of the late Wilmont and Lela (Hendrickson) Harvey.  He graduated from Bradford High School, near Cyclone, in the Class of 1951.

Richard J. “Dick” Leary, age 74, of Marion and formerly of Mount Gilead, died Sunday evening, April 29, 2012, at the Grant Medical Center following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

On May 16, 1937, Dick was born in Bangor, Maine, the son of the late John and Margaret (Mars) Leary.

Barbara Ann Powers, age 64, of Marion, died Sunday evening, April 29, 2012, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, following a brief illness.

Barbara was born in Delaware, OH, on April 28, 1948, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Donna M. (Ackerman) Warwick.  She was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in the Class of 1966.

Frances Marie Cooperider, age 92, of Marion passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

Born in Marion on April 2, 1920 to Lester N. and Cecile M. (Anderson) Roof, she married Albert LeRoy Cooperider on December 31, 1939. Albert preceded her in death as did her son; Ronald Cooperider, 2 sisters; Donna Sampley and Wanda Reece and her brother; Frank A. Roof.

M. Jane Decker age 79 of Circleville, Ohio, formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday April 29, 2012 at the Logan Elm Health Care in Circleville, Ohio.

She was born March 3, 1933 in Fort Wayne, IN. to the late Owen F. and Carrie (Wetzel) Timmons.

Patricia L. Clarkson, age 69 of Marion, passed away Saturday morning April 28th, 2012 at her home after a long illness.

Patricia was born August 27th, 1942 in Galion, Ohio as the daughter of the late Melvin L. and Edith E. (Paxton) Staup.
