Kenneth C. Fannin, age 78, of Mount Gilead, died peacefully on Sunday evening, August 21, 2011, at the Whetstone Care Facility in Columbus, surrounded by his loved ones.

On January 29, 1933, Kenneth was born in Knob Branch, Kentucky, one of seven children of the late Emery and Maude (Sparks) Fannin.  He was raised in the Portsmouth area, where he graduated from Portsmouth High School.

Scarlett L. Manning age 34 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio as a result of a motorcycle accident.

She was born November 19, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert Joseph Paulino and Joanie M. Manning.

Mary Ellen Logan, of Mount Gilead, died peacefully at the Morrow County Hospital Extended Care Facility surrounded by her family following a decline in health over the past several years.  She was 92 years old.

On March 30, 1919, Mary Ellen was born in southern Morrow County, at the family farm on State Route 656, the eldest of two daughters of the late Leo and Opal (Weaver) Patrick.  She was raised in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School in the Class of 1936.

Kimberly Kay Howell, 46 of Marion, OH passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at her residence.

She was born May 14, 1965 in Marion, OH to Raymond S. Howell of Marion, and Shirley Kay (Glenn) Arthur of Bucyrus.

Ellison J. Snyder Jr., age 81, of Seminole, Florida, and formerly of Galion, Ohio, died Friday evening, August 19, 2011.

Darwin Randall Clem, age 68 of Richwood, died early Monday morning, August 22, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 15, 1943 in Princeton, Indiana to Warner and Rosemary (Lehman) Clem.

Susie Ellen Bender, age 80 of Marengo, died Friday afternoon August 19, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 3, 1931 in River, Kentucky to the late Silver and Alice (Ratliff) Price. A resident of the Marengo area since 1995 coming from Wheelersburg.

Janis Berridge, age 80 of Marion, formerly of Prospect, died Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her home.

She was born November 23, 1930 in Richwood to the late Clarence and Jane (Staley) Shoup.

Francis Arlene(Hopkins) Milliron died Aug. 13, 2011 at her residence in Apache Junction Arizona from a longtime illness. She was born November 5, 1935 in Marion, Ohio and was married to Jim Milliron in 1957.

Mary Rita McGlew, age 92, died peacefully at her home on Thursday morning, August 18, 2011. Mary Rita was a descendent of two notable Marion citizens, Edward Huber and Timothy Fahey.

She was born on January 17, 1919 in Marion and was the daughter of Frank V. Murphy and Marguerite Kirchner Murphy. Mary Rita was the only daughter with five brothers: Dan, Frank, Bob, Ed and Jackie.
