Rodger L. Burden, age 94, of Marion, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the care of Community Health Care Center.
He was born July 30, 1916, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Harbor T. and Amelia (Ritter) Burden.
On August 24, 1940, he married Lois I. (Postle) who died July 28, 2009.
Rodger retired from Schmidt Pattern Works as a pattern maker. He was a member of St. Mary Church and former K of C member. In the past several years he enjoyed woodworking, cooking and even bike ridding.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mary Lou (Curtis) Price of Florida, Judith Anne (Everett) Crawford of California, a son Rodger (Marcia) Burden of Edison, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 20, 2011, at 11 am at Grand Prairie Cemetery with Father Michael Nimocks officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to Marion General Hospice or Marion Humane Society.
Arrangements are being handled through Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors.

She was born March 15, 1941 in McAndrews, Kentucky to the late Frederick and Lassie (Williamson) Ball. On April 17, 1959 she married Charles Corbett and he survives.
