William L. “Bill” Snyder Sr., of Marion and formerly of Belle Center, Ohio, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, January 2, 2011, at Heartland of Marion surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.

On May 19, 1922, Bill was born in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Sarah Etta (Weaver) Snyder.

William F. Gibson age 80 of Galion, died Sunday evening January 2, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1930 in Meeker to the late Greer E. and Ruth (Cramer) Gibson, he was also predeceased by 5 brothers: Art, Gene Lee, Emmitt, Donnie and Dick Gibson, 2 sisters: Norma Carpenter and Opal Bisel

Darrell B. Collins, age 94, of Wooster and formerly of Marion, died Monday morning, January 3, 2011, at West View Manor Nursing Home in Wooster.

Phyllis A. Sparks, age 64 of Delaware died peacefully at home Wednesday,  January 2, 2011 surrounded by her family, after a valiant two month battle with cancer and a “I’m going to beat this” attitude.

She was born on June 7, 1946 in Galena to the late Joe “Pop” and Susie (Moodespaugh) Hubbard.

Mary Jane Blevins age 77 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday December 28, 2010 at Marion Generel Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1933 in Marion, Ohio to the late William Russell and Ruth Genivieve (Seigfried) Gorrell.

Carl E. Harshner Jr., age 84, of Edison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, January 1, 2011, at the Morrow County Hospital with his family by his side following an extended illness.

On June 23, 1926, Carl was born in Nyack, New York, the son of the late Carl Sr. and Frances (Ogden) Harshner.  He grew up a “river rat,” spending his time on the Hudson River, and he attended Nyack High School.

Bradley D. Hook age 39 of Richwood died unexpectedly Thursday December 30, 2010 at his home.

He was born August 21, 1971 in Prospect to the late David P. Hook and Connie (Wainfor) Crist who survives in Delaware.

Alice Mae Major age 88 of Richwood died early Saturday morning January 1, 2011 at the Gables in Green Pastures in Marysville

She was born May 8, 1922 in Johnstown to the late Perry Allen and Anna (Gray) Phipps.

Edward L. “Ed” Williams, age 81, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, after battling with cancer for several months.

On January 21, 1929, Edward was born in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late William Lloyd and Monteze Williams.

Obal W. Dooley, 92, of Marion went home to be with Jesus on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.

Obal was born February 4, 1918 in Kentucky to the late Roscoe and Bertha (Borders) Dooley.
