Daniel K. Stevens, age 60, of Marysville, passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at 12:50 AM at OSU Medical Center/James Cancer Hospital in Columbus after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born on November 15, 1949 in Marion, Ohio to Velma Jane (Spitzer) Stevens of Marion and the late Harould B. (Steve) Stevens.

George C. Deickert, Jr., age 75, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday June 5, 2010 at his residence.

He was born April 13, 1935 in Patterson, N.J. to the late George C. and Lucy (Somieski) Deickert, Sr.

On August 30, 1984 in Marion, Ohio George married Patsy L. (Massey). She survives in Marion.

Randy L. Shepard, age 42, of Mount Gilead, died unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, June 4, 2010, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus following a brief illness caused by his lifelong battle with asthma.

On July 11, 1967, Randy was born in Galion, Ohio, the son of Larry and Linda (Kleinman) Shepard of Mount Gilead.

V.L. “Bud” Brady, a lifelong resident of Marion, passed away early Saturday morning, June 5, 2010 at Kingston Residence of Marion.

Bud was born April 27, 1918 to the late Tyco W. and Carrie Beatrice (Lindsay) Arndt. He married Leona “Lee” M. Spence on October 26, 1946. Leona passed away August 5, 2006.

Frances E. Goodrich, age 91, of Mount Gilead, died Tuesday evening, June 1, 2010, at the Morrow County Hospital.

A lifelong Morrow County resident, Frances was born on August 27, 1918, the daughter of the late Jay R. and Ethel A. (Beckley) Woodruff.

Roberta Isabel “Issy” Ransome passed away peacefully Friday evening, June 4, 2010 at Kingston Residence of Marion.

She was 87 years old; born February 5, 1923 in Marion County to the late Robert L. and Lucy (Brady) Bauer.

Her husband, John S. Ransome, whom she married December 31, 1952 in Marion, passed away in December of 1977.

Ronald Neil Mahaffey age 66 of Marion passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at his residence.

Born July 23, 1943 in Marion to the late Henry Mahaffey and Frances (Seiter) Mahaffey who survives.

Chad Alan Hart, age 35, of Prospect, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010.

On August 25, 1974, Chad was born in Marion, Ohio, the son of Richard W. and Diana K. (Fortner) Hart of Marion. He was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in the class of 1993.

Delbert A. Snyder, age 83 of Marengo passed away Thursday morning, June 3, 2010 at Heartland of Centerburg.

Born in Cardington on July 9, 1926, he was the eldest son of the late Frank Delbert and Olive Orral (Myers) Snyder.  He lived the majority of his life in the Marengo area and was a graduate of Marengo High School in 1945. A US Army veteran of WW II, he proudly answered the call to duty.

Arthur "Lee" Sanders, 63, Marion, died on Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.

Lee was born on May 7, 1947 to the late Edward and Florence Sanders in Ironton, Ohio.
