Friends and family will hold the 2nd Annual Timothy Millisor Memorial Scholarship 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, August 2, 2014. After giving away a $1,000 scholarship last year, organizers hope to double or triple that amount through this year’s event.
The tournament will be held at Elgin High School with games starting at noon. It is open to male and female players, 3 to 4 per team, 16 years old and up. Registration is $60 per team and all players will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
All players will need to sign a release and those under 18 will need a parent signature.
The tournament and scholarship were started in memory of Tim Millisor who died on July 5, 2013 at the age of 21. Click here to learn more.
If you would like to help, sponsorships are available for the tournament. $200 will get your name printed on event shirts along with other recognition. They are also seeking donations for the raffle that will take place during the tournament.
All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund.
