United Way of Marion County, Scioto Shoe Mart and a host of other community partners are going to make going back to school this fall a much better experience for teachers, parents and students.
Friday, July 18th & Saturday, July 19th are being set aside for shoppers to contribute $5 in cash to the Kits for Kids School Supply Drive, and in return they receive a coupon for $10 off services or merchandise at their choice of 17 different participating local businesses.
The cash will be collected by the United Way, who will in turn purchase supplies and provide them to the local city and county schools.
As the premier sponsor of the school supply drive, Scioto Shoe Mart is hosting a kick-off event on July 18.
