Marion General Hospital is pleased to recognize Dr. S. Prasad Ravi, surgeon, who was chosen by Marion General Hospital associates as MGH Physician of the Year for 2010.
A graduate of Guntur Medical College, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, Dr. Ravi completed his specialty training at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Ravi is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Criteria for this annual award includes modeling the cardinal value by honoring the dignity and worth of each person; serving as an ambassador for Marion General Hospital; and devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
Dr. Ravi joined the medical staff of the hospital in June 2006. He served on the Marion General Hospital Board of Directors from January-June 2009, and is currently serving as surgery vice chair on the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Ravi is also a member of the Performance Improvement Committee and the Cancer Committee.
