City Police Engaged In “Click It or Ticket” Campaign

The Marion City Police Department is joining with other law enforcement agencies in the national Click It or Ticket campaign. Officials say the zero tolerance effort is not only about enforcing the law, but also about gaining public awareness of the risks of not wearing a seatbelt.

The enforcement effort has already begun and will continue through June 6. The extra overtime hours used during the campaign is being paid for through a grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.

The grant will also pay for overtime throughout June as local officers focus attention on speed and OVI violators.
