The unofficial election results are in for the 2010 Primary Election in Marion County. Pleasant School's earned income tax levy and River Valley's phased-in property tax levy have both failed to win over voters.
However, Pleasant Township Fire Department saw their levy approved by 103 votes.
In the Republican Primary for Marion County Commissioner, Ken Frayer, a former commissioner, has been defeated by newcomer Ken Stiverson. Stiverson will face Democrat incumbent Josh Daniels in the November General Election.
Marion Township, Caledonia, and Green Camp voters approved allowing their elected officials to decide on electric aggregation programs for their areas.
The final tax levy, for Grand Township, also passed, but by just five votes.
