“Stuff The Bus” With School Supplies For Local Kids

Heart of Ohio Mentoring, the NAACP, and United Way are teaming up for Stuff the Bus May 17th through June 18th. Together, they are asking Marion County residents to help stuff busses full of school supplies to help children in Marion County start the next school year ready to learn.

This year, the drive will kick off at Heart of Ohio Mentoring’s Shining Star finale at 6:00 p.m. May 17th, when the top five finalists will perform.  Bluefusion entertainment is home to the Shining Stars scholarship contest and is pleased to be a part of the Stuff the Bus activities.

Last year, more than 1,800 school supplies through the Stuff the Bus project.  This year, the number of locations has grown to include banks, private industry, retailers and more. Public drop off locations include bluefusion, Heart of Ohio Mentoring, Marion Community Credit Union, United Federal Credit Union, and United Way.

Heart of Ohio Mentoring, the NAACP, and United Way of Marion County say they are working together to advance the common good by focusing on education; a fundamental building block to a good life.
