Marion City Council meets tonight (Monday) starting at 7:30pm to discuss various business including how taxicab companies are licensed, prohibiting engine braking, and where to spend grant funds.
The Finance Committee will start the evening at 7:00pm to discuss changing how taxicab and limousine companies are licensed in a hope to streamline the process.
The committee will also discuss changing City Code to prohibit engine braking within City limits.
The full City Council will discuss any of the above if it is passed out of committee. In addition, they will continue discussion on how to spend the City's share of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
Council will also continue exploring job descriptions for various City positions and will re-appoint members of the Airport Commission.
