Marion Chamber Sponsoring Technology Workshop

The Marion Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Manufacturing and Technology Small Business Development Center (MTSBDC) at Braintree and TechSolve will hold a Lean Simulation Workshop geared toward the small manufacturer on Friday, June 18, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce, 205 West Center Street in Marion.

The workshop will be taught by TechSolve’s team of experts including Senior Project Manager Sue Via, with experience in manufacturing including automotive, healthcare and wood product industries and Alex Jones, Project Specialist in manufacturing and processing industries. Both the instructors are experienced Lean trainers.

Participants will perform roles in a simulated manufacturing setting. Each round follows a different Lean principal, allowing you to measure performance improvement after each round. Organizers say you will experience Lean concepts that you can immediately implement into your own organization.

The normal fee for this workshop is $200. With this joint sponsorship the only charge for the event will be $10 per person, which includes a box lunch. Participation is limited to three from any one manufacturer.

Space is limited. RSVP to Ken Cline at 419-525-1614 or [email protected] by June 14th.
