Holler Takes Over as President of Local ADAMH Board

Marion resident, Annette Holler assumed the position of president of the Crawford-Marion ADAMH board on July 1, 2010. Her term will run through June 30, 2011. She has served on the ADAMH board since 2007.

Jody Demo-Hodgins, ADAMH executive director, stated, “Annette brings experience in business to the board as well as a background in human resources management. She is an advocate for treatment and prevention services. Her expertise will serve the board well.”

The ADAMH board is responsible for assuring that high quality addiction and mental health services are available to the citizens of Marion and Crawford Counties. The board funds services through Marion Area Counseling Center, Inc., Foundations Recovery, MACC West Supervised Apartments, Community Counseling Services, Inc., and Marion-Crawford Prevention Programs, Inc.  In calendar year 2009, services were funded for over 6,000 Marion County residents. An additional 4500 young people are served through prevention programs.

“When I first became a member of the ADAMH Board, I was surprised to learn the number of people helped yearly. Then I realized that over 9% of the population suffers from a depressive disorder and that nearly one quarter of all children suffers from a childhood serious emotional disturbance like ADHD or obsessive compulsive disorder. In addition, as a parent I’ve seen the impact of prevention programs provided by Marion-Crawford Prevention Programs” said Holler.

The ADAMH board receives funds from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services as well as local levies in both Marion and Crawford Counties.

Holler was appointed to the board by the Marion County Commissioners. She has served as a member of the Marion Popcorn Festival Committee, past president of the Pleasant PTO, secretary of the Pleasant Athletic Boosters and current board member of Pleasant Education Academy. She is married to Harry Holler and they have three children, Wes a sophomore at Capital University, Katey a junior at Pleasant and Alissa, a third grader at Pleasant Elementary. Holler is an insurance agent for Holler Insurance in Marion.

ADAMH is the authority for planning, funding and evaluating mental health, alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment services. ADAMH-funded services are provided by a local network of not-for-profit providers and offered on a sliding-fee scale, making them accessible.
