The Columbus Clippers minor league baseball team is holding a Marion Day to benefit the Marion Noon Kiwanis as part of their game on Sunday, May 20, 2012 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. The day will include lots of Marion history and highlights and will also feature the Marionaires Barbershop Chorus signing the National Anthem.
Tickets for Marion Day are $6 adult/$3 youth and senior for general admission while reserved seats are $10 adult/$7 youth and senior. For every ticket sold as part of the promotion, $1 will be donated to the Marion Noon Kiwanis to further their assistance programs for local children.
In order for the local Kiwanis to receive the donation, you must specify that you are ordering tickets as a part of Marion Day.
A Marion official will throw out the first pitch, which will be umpired by Prospect native and former Major League umpire Larry Barnett.
In addition to the Marion-centered events, the Clippers will be giving out Howard "Hop" Cassady bobblehead dolls and Nestle Ice Cream Sandwiches will be available for $1.
You can click here to view an order form or call 614-462-2757 to order tickets directly. Just remember to mention Marion Day.
