Downed Power Lines Cause Highway Closure

Update – State Route 4 re-opened at about 9:20am Tuesday.

State Route 4 in Marion County had to be closed overnight between US 23 and Kenton-Galion Road due to power lines laying across the roadway. The power lines and several utility poles were blown down during a thunderstorm around 8:30pm Monday evening.

As of Tuesday morning, Ohio Edison had crews working to remove the lines from the roadway. They expected to have the roadway re-opened before noon Tuesday.
