Week of Events Planned for OSUM’s International Festival

The Ohio State University at Marion will host its 5th Annual Taste of Culture International Festival on Wednesday, May 9, from 4:30pm to 8:00pm, at the Alber Student Center on the Marion campus. There are also several events planned leading up to the Taste of Culture.

A Taste of Culture hosts live entertainment, food from around the world, arts and crafts, a multitude of informational booths, and short educational discussions.  This event brings together the customs, traditions, color, and flavor of peoples from diverse ethnicities.   Admission for this annual event is free and open to the public.

Local vendors, restaurants, and community members will provide food samples representative of ethnic cuisines from across the globe. Donations are encouraged and will be accepted for purchase of food tickets to sample the food on hand.  Proceeds from donations for food items will benefit minority scholarships at Ohio State Marion.

Other events planned include:

  • Wednesday, May 2 – 12 noon
Zuheir Alidib and Le Cercle Francais: Travel to Europe
  • Thursday, May 3 – 12 noon
