Tough Truck, Royalty Coronation at Marion County Fair Monday

While families have been busy moving in animals and projects over the weekend, the Marion County Fair really gets going on Monday, July 2, and will feature a tough truck competition along with the coronation of the Jr. Fair royalty. Monday is also Canned Food Day, Senior Citizen’s Day, and Lady’s Day.

With the special day today, admission for those 11 and older is free with a donation of a canned food item.

The events surrounding Senior Citizen’s Day run from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the coliseum. There will be a free lunch for the first 250 people starting at noon.

Rides open at noon. The Tough Truck competition starts at 7:30 pm. The 4-H Style Revue starts at 8:00pm in the coliseum with the royalty coronation taking place at 8:30pm.

Throughout the day there will be competitions including horse showmanship and horsemanship, goat showmanship, the dairy feeder obstacle course, rabbit showmanship, and the market swine show.

Daily Gate Admission is $6. Children 10 and under admitted free. Admission does not include rides. Season Passes or Memberships are $20 per person.

Ride tickets are $1 each with Kiddie Rides costing 2 tickets and Major Rides costing 3 tickets. You can get an Unlimited All Day Ride Pass for $12. Jr. Fair Kids Ride Pass is $10.

Grandstand Admission is $3 for those 4 years old and over. Pit Passes are $6 for those 4 years old and over.
