The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says several burglary suspects were arrested on Tuesday, September 4, after the homeowner found them and chased them until police could close in on their location.
The Sheriff’s Office says that at 3:25pm a resident in the 500 block of Campbell Road called to report he had come home to find subjects committing a burglary at his residence. The homeowner said he struck the suspect vehicle and the suspects then fled the area.
The homeowner continued to chase the suspects until they fled on foot from their vehicle on Clinton Street in the City of Marion. With the assistance of the Marion City Police Department, deputies say the suspects were captured in the 480 block of St. Gallen Street.
Investigators say the suspect vehicle was recovered as well as a large amount of stolen property that was discovered at the St. Gallen Street residence.
Those arrested included:
- Stephanie A. Bussard, 32, last known address is 77 Hill Street in Delaware, OH, for Receiving Stolen Property;
- Jared L. Christian, 35, 488 St. Gallen Street in Marion, for Burglary;
- Raymond F. Morrow, 27, 488 St. Gallen Street in Marion, for Burglary.
Additional charges may also be filed on these three subjects and other arrests may be made pending further investigation by Marion, Union, and Delaware County authorities.
Sheriff Tim Bailey said he would like to thank residents who were vigilant in assisting the sheriff’s office in trying to locate the suspects as well as his staff who has also been vigilant in their patrols even while being shorthanded due to layoffs and having an increased call load.
