The interior mural design team for the new K-12 building is seeking your help. They are looking for school related photographs, memorabilia, and yearbooks from each community to help them create the “Elgin history mural” in the new K-12 school building.
“We need items representing the schools Agosta, New Bloomington, LaRue, Green Camp, Prospect, and Elgin to feature in the mural,” explained school board member Nancy Everett Hafer. “We are seeking anything school related, academic and athletic. It is our goal to showcase who we’ve been and who we are.”
A copy of photographs with your name and phone number written on the back is sufficient for submission. They will contact you if they find they need the original photograph.
All photographs are to be submitted no later than November 30, 2012 for consideration.
Items can be dropped off at the principal’s office at Elgin West, South, Junior High, or High School. Digital photos can be e-mailed to John Kuzio at [email protected].
