In observance of Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 18, 2013, many government offices will be closed and some services will be operating on an adjusted schedule.
All divisions of the Marion Public Health will be closed including the Administrative, Vital Statistics, Environmental Health, Nursing, Emergency Preparedness, and WIC divisions. Marion Public Health is located at 181 South Main Street. Additional information about Marion Public Health can be found at www.marionpublichealth.org.
Mayor Schertzer is announcing that in observance of the President’s Day holiday, offices in City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 18th. Additional departments will be closed or operating on a modified schedule for the day. The following departments will operate as noted below:
- Sanitation crews will collect garbage and recycling on Monday, February 18th. Residents who normally have refuse collected on Monday are requested to have their collections at curbside by 7:00 a.m.
- Buses for Marion Area Transit will not be operating on Monday, February 18th. Regular bus service will begin on Tuesday, February 19th.
- The Marion Senior Center will be closed.
- Essential services including airport, fire, and police will operate as usual.
The Marion County Building and Marion County Courthouse will also be closed on Monday, February 18.
