Detroit Man Arrested During Marion Drug Raid

MARMETThe MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force says a Detroit man was arrested and prescription pills and cash were seized during a drug raid on Thursday, March 28, 2013. The raid was a direct result of numerous tips from area residents.

On Thursday at 3:00PM, members of the MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force executed a drug search warrant at 262 E. Mark Street in Marion.

MARMET said they received numerous TIPS Line calls in regards to heavy traffic at this address. An investigation was conducted and officials say controlled drug purchases were made from Terrell Myers out of this residence.

After entry was made into the home Thursday, officers say they located over 200 prescription pills and $645 in cash. The Marion County Dog Warden was called to the scene to assist with an aggressive dog located at the residence.

Officers arrested Terrell Myers, 22, of Detroit, Michigan, on two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs and two counts of Possession of Drugs. Myers was transported to the Multi-County Correctional Center. Formal charges are pending with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

MARMET was assisted with the search warrant by the Marion City Police Department.

“This is a great example of MARMET working hand in hand with the community to aggressively combat drug traffickers in our community,” Major Bill Collins stated.
