On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force says they recovered pills and heroin after an investigation into drug trafficking. Officers arrested Cortez Daniels, 29, of Detroit, Michigan, in the 100 block of North Main Street on charges of Trafficking in Heroin and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs.
Investigators say that during the arrest they seized $254 in cash, 4.2 grams of heroin, and 45 Percocet pills.
Cortez was taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center to await the filing of formal charges by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
“The METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force are stepping up efforts to identify and arrest those individuals that are selling drugs and using drugs in Marion County,“ stated Lt. Chris Adkins.
