The Marion Camera Club will hear about the art of pet photography at their March meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. In addition to the special speaker, the monthly photo contest topic is Fruit.
The speaker will be Claudine Kosier, Owner and Photographer for Simply Dog Photography, Kosier has had a love for dogs and photography that has lasted forever, but says it took losing one very special dog to push her to fully appreciate the art form. In 2008 Kosier immersed herself in learning everything about photography in the digital form and shortly after in 2010, Simply Dog Photography was born.
In her spare time, Kosier works with local rescue groups photographing their adoptable pets so they have high quality and expressive photos which is resulting in faster adoptions. She is also a member of HeARTs Speak which is a collaboration of artists and photographers worldwide working together to break stigmas of shelter animals. Just recently she has become a contributing photographer for Life + Dog Magazine.
At the March meeting, Kosier will be speaking on The Art of Pet Photography, why it’s important, her photographic style and tips for getting better photos of your own pets.
Marion Camera Club meetings are open to anyone with an interest in photography. They welcome new members and hope to see you at their next meeting.
The Club meets at the MARCA Administration and Conference Room (east end of building), 2387 Harding Hwy East, Marion, OH.
