Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is requesting the public’s help in locating a sex offender who is no longer compliant with Ohio’s registration laws. Deputies with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for the arrest of Scott Lyons in January. He is wanted on a charge of failure to register.
According to public records, Lyons was convicted of rape, gross sexual imposition, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Lyons, age 30, last registered his address as 1775 County Road 220 in Marengo.
Scott Lyons is described as a white male, 5’06” tall, 145 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo on his chest of a heart with the name Deanna Jo.

This news release is part of Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Initiative. As part of the Crimes Against Children Initiative, Attorney General DeWine will publicize convicted sex offenders who have victimized children and are wanted on outstanding warrants. Other parts of the initiative include the establishment of a Crimes Against Children Unit at BCI, creation of a rapid response team for crimes against children, and specialized law enforcement training through BCI and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).
