Tips Lead to Search Warrant, Five Arrests

MARMETThe METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force says several citizen complaints about drug activity led to a search warrant and the arrest of five individuals on various charges, including drug trafficking.

Members of the METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force, along with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion Police Department, served the search warrant at 465 Mound Street on Thursday, March 7, 2013.

When entering the house, detectives say they encountered nine individuals inside and five of those were taken to jail on various charges. Detectives say they located 6.5 grams of heroin, 45 Percocet, 25 Vicodin and $500 in cash.

Those arrested included:

  • Robert J Johnson, 40, of Detroit, MI, for three counts of trafficking in drugs
  • Julia Fry, 19, of Marion, for trafficking in drugs and drug abuse
  • Nichole Boden, 25, of Marion, for trafficking in drugs and drug abuse
  • Camryn Hensel, 24, of Marion, for probation violation
  • Candie Steele, 23, of Marion, for probation violation and drug abuse

Officials say this case is still being investigated and no further information will be released at this time.

“The METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force is working hard to make it difficult for the dealers to push their drugs in the community,” stated Lt. Chris Adkins.
