Clare Cooke, George Schram, Kristi Wink, Andy Harper, and Blake Huffaker have announced auditions for the Palace Theatre’s summer musical Oliver. Adults and children, ages 9 and up, may audition on Saturday, May 18 & Sunday, May 19. Auditions are from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day on the Marion Palace Theatre stage.
Participants should enter through the front theatre doors. Those interested in chorus will audition in groups. Individuals wishing to audition for principle roles are asked to come prepared to sing a solo. Auditioners are requested to select a one-minute audition tune. A pianist will be provided. No CDs please. All auditioners should come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Anyone interested in a principle role should also be prepared to read from the script.
Performance dates are scheduled for July 13, 19, and 20 at 8:00 p.m. and July 14 and 21 at 2:00 p.m.
