Bethlehem Dance and Ministry Arts (BDE&MA) will present a musical dance/drama presentation entitled “The Marion Nutcracker” at Cornerstone Alliance Church on May 17 and 18, 2013 at 7:00pm each evening.
This is a unique version of the Nutcracker that Vikki Bell, director of BDE&MA, said she created under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The program, open to the community, will highlight Marion area businesses, landmarks, and churches. We are involving the Arts of Picture slides, an 8’x24′ backdrop of the Marion Courthouse and landmarks created by North Central Correctional Institution, narration, dances, and actors to bring out the flavor of the Marion area.
“The final scene symbolizes pushing back all the negative influences in Marion, and the Kingdom of God coming in peace over Marion,” said Bell. “We are seeking for God’s restoration and healing in our city and county.”
Bell said Marion area sights, sounds, and persons will be cameoed in this unique telling. They will pass through the Land of Snow and Ice, the Shore of Sweets, and into The Kingdom.
Tickets are $8 per person. Any profits made through the production will be donated to charities including Pro Life, Royal Kids Camp, Child Evangelism, and ongoing ministries of BDE&MA.
