Rick Huddle was selected as the June Republican of the Month during a recent meeting of the Marion County Republican Central and Executive meeting.
Huddle was chairman of the successful June GOP Golf Outing. His past and present associations include the Ohio State Teacher’s Association, the Ohio Coaches Association, a member of the Harding Athletic Hall of Fame of 1994, Marion County Republican Club, the GOP Central and Executive Committee, Marion Country Club, and the Edinboro State and Bowling Green State University Alumni Associations.
Huddle’s education included Toledo University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from Edinboro State and a Master of Education in supervision education from Bowling Green.
Huddle retired in 2006 after 30 years of teaching in the Marion City Schools, and presently is a writing and oral communications instructor at Marion Technical College. The 2011 Republican Mayoral candidate is the father of four sons and resides with his wife, Cheryl, in Marion.
