Starting on Monday, July 22, 2013, Marion area residents may receive phone calls soliciting for donations for the Steve Young Memorial Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 24. For four weeks every summer the local FOP seeks donations that stay in Marion County, helping to fund activities such as the Cops and Kids Program and Safety City.
The FOP wants to let residents know that phone solicitations during this time are legitimate.
“The Marion community has given time and time again and we are very thankful for the opportunity that it provides in giving to children in need,” said Marion County FOP President Chris Adkins.
