Credit Union Hosting School Supply Drive

While some students and their families look forward to a new school year, many families are unable to provide basic school supplies their children need to be effective in the classroom. To help families, students, and teachers prepare for the school year, Corporate America Family Credit Union is hosting its annual school supply drive called, Project Backpack.

Corporate America Family Credit Union began supporting Project Backpack in 2004.

“A school supply drive is a great way to make a meaningful difference in the community,” said Susan Rayner, Branch Manager of Corporate America Family Credit Union’s Marion branch. “Helping our local families, students and teachers by collecting school supplies not only supports the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’, it’s a necessity for students and rewarding for us,” says Rayner.

If you’d like to help, school supplies or monies collected for Project Backpack can be dropped off at Corporate America Family Credit Union’s branch located at 136 McMahan Boulevard through August 16, 2013. For more details, visit www.cafcu.org/backpack or call 1-800-359-1939.
