The Marion County Historical Society will present their 4th annual Dinner with the Presidents event on November 2, 2013 at the TRECA building on Delaware Avenue in Marion. Organizers say that guests will not only enjoy an evening out, but they will also dine on presidential favorites and have the opportunity to discuss life in the White House with United States Presidents: Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, U.S. Grant, and James Garfield.
As a special bonus, Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Ohio Governor David Tod (1860-1862) will also be in attendance.
The presidents will arrive in a horse drawn carriage courtesy of White Rose Carriage Service and will be attended by uniformed guards appropriate to their eras courtesy of the 121st Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The meal will be provided by Special Occasions Catering of Upper Sandusky.
Tickets must be purchased by October 28. Prices are $25 or $45 per couple general seating. VIP tickets at $30 single or $55 per couple are still available for Ohio Governor David Tod’s table. All Presidential seats are sold out at this time.
Tickets may be purchased at Heritage Hall, the headquarters of the Marion County Historical Society located at 169 East Church Street or online at www.marionhistory.com. For more information call 740-387-4255.
