Dr. Lynn Ritter will be the guest speaker for the November meeting of Caregiver Connections. Dr. Ritter is with the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer Association, and she will speak about home make-overs and modifications, with the intent of making the home safer for someone dealing with dementia.
Dr. Ritter will address common-sense home modifications such as lighting, furniture placement, food safety, signage, and much more. She conveys her message with energy, humor, and compassion for the caregiver.
Caregiver Connections is a quarterly meeting sponsored by the Marion Council on Aging, to provide support and education for local caregivers and others interested in issues of caregiving and dementia. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are limited and necessary.
Caregiver Connections will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 11:30 AM – 1 PM at the Council on Aging office located at 125 Executive Dr. Suite 102.

Lunch will be provided through the generosity of Kingston Residence of Marion.
