Dave Osmun has been selected as September Republican of the Month by the Marion County Central and Executive Committee.
He was employed for over 25 years with the Mid-Ohio Packaging Co.,and since 1971 worked in the industrial maintenance field primarily troubleshooting. Currently he is maintenance manager at Marcy Industries LLC, a disabled veteran-owned company on Likens Rd. and in Richwood.
The formerly appointed Marion City 2nd councilman, Osmun is a write-in candidate for the 2nd ward in the November election. He serves as 2nd ward precinct B committeman on the GOP Central and Executive Committee.
He has been married to Mary Jo Osmun, former Marion County Recorder, for 43 years. The couple has three sons and two grandchildren with another soon expected.
A member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 60 years, he has served as a deacon for 38 years and also has been financial secretary and music director.
