Greg Conaway has joined Sims Brothers Recycling as manager of nonferrous operations. The announcement was made by Gary Sims, president and CEO.
Conaway will be responsible for all aspects of the operations, purchasing and sales of nonferrous metals at the recycling company. Common nonferrous metals include aluminum, tin, copper, zinc, and brass. He will report to Garrett Tracey, vice president, ferrous division.
Conaway began his recycling career in 2006 at Metalico Annaco in Akron, OH, becoming nonferrous supervisor after his first year with the company. For the last two years he worked for PSC Metals, Inc., serving as nonferrous manager for the recycling firm’s Columbus, OH region.
“Greg comes to Sims Brothers with a wealth of nonferrous experience and savvy,” said Tracey, “and he is constantly thinking through and analyzing the business to find ways to improve our operations and customer service.”
With four locations, Sims Brothers Recycling, headquartered in Marion, buys, accepts, transports, processes, brokers and sells all types of recyclable products including scrap iron and steel, nonferrous metals, cardboard, newspaper, high grade paper, plastics, electronic scrap and glass.
