The Marion Public Library is holding a Food for Fines event through November 23, 2013. During this week only, patrons can pay for overdue fines with food. One food or personal care item pays for $1 in fines.
Donated items can pay for fines only, not lost or damaged items. There is no credit for future fines.
Food items must be non-perishable, sealed, non-expired and not home canned. Items collected will be donated to the Salvation Army. Extra donations are welcome.
