Omega Kick, Featuring Marion Educators, to Perform at May Pavilion

Omega KickWhat do you get when you mix three Marion City School educators; a couple of electric guitars; and the talent to perform a high energy rock show? You get Omega Kick.

The local classic rock band Omega Kick will bring their act to the Marion Palace Theatre May Pavilion on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 8:00 pm.

The rock band boasts over 30 years of musical experience and is comprised of retired teacher, David K. Johnston (Drums and Vocals), Harding High School Telecom Instructor, John Mullins (Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals), and McKinley Elementary Principal, Rick Fogle (Bass and Vocals).

Omega Kick presents the best of live Rock-n-Roll and Rhythm & Blues by featuring the greatest hits by such bands and artists as The Doobie Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Led-Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Eagles, Matchbox 20, Elton John and many more.

The trio has performed with national acts Diamond Dave Somerville and The Marcels on the Palace stage.  In addition, Dave and John have been backing musicians for David Gates of Bread and Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits.  They also serve as pit musicians for many Palace Productions.

Omega Kick is sponsored by United Bank.  Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the Palace box office, 276 W. Center St. in downtown Marion or by phone at 740/383-2101.  Box office hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Throughout the 2013-2014 season, the May Pavilion will act as a showcase for hometown bands.  Come as a group of 8 or more and the Palace will reserve a table for you. A cash bar and concession items are available for purchase.
