The City of Marion, through the Marion Land Bank Program, will auction off several parcels of real property on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 10:00am. The sale will take place in the lobby of Marion City Hall.
The properties became part of the Marion Land Bank after state and federal funding paid for the demolition of abandoned homes. Because of the grant funding, there are several rules for the sales, including a set minimum bid based on the Marion County Auditor’s true value for the lot value.
The following properties will be up for sale:
- 476 Ballentine – $1,000.00 min. bid
- 299 West Fairground – $1,000.00 min. bid
- 505 & 207 Jefferson – $1,250.00 min. bid
- 620 Park – $1,000.00 min bid
- 389 Chestnut – $1,250.00. min bid
- 365 Glad – $1,250.00 min bid
- 288 East Mark – $2,500.00 min bid
- 255 Elm – $5,319.60 min bid
The successful bidder will be required to sign the Land Bank Offer to Purchase Agreement and to pay the successful bid amount in the form of an escrow payment on the date of the sale.
