Walt Wilson has been promoted to Regional Manager at Sims Brothers Recycling. The announcement was made by Gary Sims, president and CEO.
Wilson will be responsible for all aspects of the Delaware and Columbus location operations, including purchasing, processing and shipping of all metals at both recycling sites, as well as the upkeep and security of the physical plants and the management of all employees. He reports to Gary Sims, president and CEO.
Wilson began his recycling career just after college in 1991 at Worly Recycling in Columbus, OH. Nine years later he was named manager of the facility, and continued in this capacity when the firm was purchased by Sims Brothers Recycling in 2004.
“Walt is one of the most energetic and gregarious people in the company. His concern for his customers is part of his very fiber, and his teammates appreciate his no-nonsense family approach to the scrap business,” said Sims. “Walt is a tremendous asset to the company.”
With four locations and headquartered in Marion, Sims Brothers Recycling buys, accepts, transports, processes, brokers and sells all types of recyclable products including scrap iron and steel, nonferrous metals, cardboard, newspaper, high grade paper, plastics, electronic scrap and glass.
