Tpr. Mark A. Menendez was promoted to the rank of sergeant Wednesday by Colonel Paul A. Pride, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy. Sgt. Menendez will remain at his current assignment at the Marion Post to serve as an assistant post commander.
Sgt. Menendez began his Patrol career in September 2003 as a member of the 141st Academy Class. He earned his commission in March of the following year and was assigned to the Bucyrus Post, where he was selected as Post Trooper of the Year in 2006. In 2007, he transferred to his most recent assignment at the Marion Post. Sgt. Menendez was again selected as Post Trooper of the Year in 2011 and Post and District Trooper of the Year in 2012.
