United Federal Credit Union’s local staff recently showed their generosity when they presented a check for United Federal Credit Union’s corporate gift of $2,388 to the United Way of Marion County.

The money is a dollar-for-dollar match to the employee’s personal pledges to the community campaign that benefits 18 local agencies that operate 33 different programs.

Robin Schelb, Regional Manager for UFCU say it’s important for the staff to see themselves as part of a larger purpose.

“I tell the members that it’s not just about working inside a building, but also it’s about working for our community and that’s a key factor here,” stated Schelb.

The money will help support United Way’s efforts to ensure children and youth reach their potential, promote financial stability and independence, and improve people’s health.
