Marion Police Arrest Man for Killing His Wife

Marion Police DepartmentThe Marion Police Department says a man killed his wife in their Marion home on Monday. On March 10, 2014 around 5:40 p.m., the department says they received a report that Shelly Shockey, of 419 Pennsylvania Avenue in Marion, was missing.

Officers said they found the story of her disappearance to be suspicious and eventually discovered that Shelly Shockey had been murdered inside 419 Pennsylvania Avenue.

37-year-old Dave Shockey, husband of Shelly, was arrested and taken to the Multi-County Corrections Center pending formal charges of Aggravated Murder.

19-year-old Danielle Crokie, of Bucyrus, was also been arrested and taken to the Multi-County Corrections Center pending formal charges of Tampering with Evidence.

Officials said the investigation into this incident is ongoing and said no further information would be immediately available.
