No Change to Pleasant Fire Levy Following Recount

The Marion County Board of Elections conducted a recount of the Pleasant Township levy on May 27, 2014. The recount affirmed the official results that the levy was defeated by a vote of 766 to 765.

An automatic recount is required when the difference between the votes cast for an issue and the votes cast against an issue are less than 0.5%.

Official results have also been received from the Crawford, Delaware, Hardin, Morrow, Union and Wyandot Boards of Election for the tax issues that cover multiple counties. Totals of the issues for multi-county issues are as follows:

  • Ridgedale Local School District Bond and Levy
    • For – 512        Against – 742
  • River Valley Local School District Levy
    • For – 1,246        Against – 1,458
  • Tri-Rivers Joint Vocational School District Renewal Levy
    • For – 7,607        Against – 7,456
  • Tri-Rivers Joint Vocational School District Replacement Levy
    • For – 5,713        Against – 9,225
