The Marion Police Department promoted three of their officers to the rank of Lieutenant on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in a ceremony at City Hall. Long-time officers Jim Fitsko, Shane Gosnell, and Eric Marsh are now the department’s newest Lieutenants filling three vacancies.
Lt. Fitsko is a 24-year veteran of the Marion Police Department. He has served as a K9 Officer, Detective, and now Lieutenant.
Lt. Gosnell is a 13-year veteran of the Marion Police Department and has served the majority of his career as an officer on 2nd or 3rd shift after beginning his career in February of 2002.
Lt. Marsh has served 16 years at the Marion Police Department and two years at the Coral Springs Police Department in Florida and was previously assigned as a detective with our department.
These new Lieutenants will begin their new assignments immediately.
