On Saturday, June 7, 2014 the Meeker Sportsman Club will hold it’s annual Fishing Derby for kids up to 12 years of age. The club will provide bait and fishing gear or you may bring your own.
The event is free, but registration is required and will be held the day of the event from 9am to 9:15 am, followed by a short instruction orientation. Fishing will begin at 10am and end at 11:30am.
A free lunch and door prizes will follow the event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This free event is sponsored by the U.S. Sport Fish Restoration Fund, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Division of Wildlife. Rain date is June 14th.
