Every year, FFA members join from across the nation to better their leadership skills and learn how to take action on those skills in their chapter. While touring our nation’s capital and seeing the overwhelming amount of landmarks, attendees at the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. are introduced to different ways of getting their chapter involved in their school and community.
River Valley FFA President Sarah Longo and Student Advisor Brock Faulkner recently returned from the annual Washington Leadership Conference. Longo said she was humbled by the amount of meals they packed for Meals of Hope in one day. She also enjoyed getting to know other kids from everywhere in the U.S. in such a short amount of time.
Both stated they are excited to share leadership qualities with the chapter to help make them thrive as a whole, and recommend that everyone go to WLC if they get the opportunity.
