Findlay man arrested for Marion robbery

The Marion Police Department said they arrested a man from Findlay on Thursday after he allegedly robbed a convenience store.

On February 19, 2015 at approximately 1:00pm, the Marion Police Department received a call of a robbery that had just taken place at Walgreens on Delaware Avenue. The suspect allegedly gave the clerk a note demanding money, was given money and then left the store.

Officers were able to get to the area very quickly and managed to apprehend the suspect in a traffic stop. The money and other evidence were recovered.

The suspect, Roger L Rader, 32, of Findlay, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Multi-County Correctional Center where he was being held on a robbery charge. The case will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
