Marion JFS holding Title XX public hearing

Marion County Job & Family Services (MCJFS) will conduct a Title XX Public Hearing in preparation of the Title XX Comprehensive Social Service Plan (CSSP) for Marion County for the next two federal fiscal years. The hearing will be part of the Marion County Community Planning Meeting and will be held on Thursday, April 16th, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., in Conference Rooms A & B, MCJFS, 363 West Fairground Street, Marion.

The purpose of the local Title XX CSSP is to provide social services directed to enable Marion County residents to restore, maintain, or improve their capabilities for self-support, self-care, independent living and for strengthening family life. The five national goals include: 1. Economic self-support; 2. Self sufficiency; 3. Prevention or remedy of neglect, abuse, and exploitation; 4. Prevent inappropriate institutional care; 5. Securing referral or admission for institutional care.

Also, if an organization plans to present comments or testimony during the hearing, please provide a written copy of the comments or testimony to Tom Marks in advance of the hearing. Comments or testimony provided during the public hearing will be limited to 5 minutes per person/organization.
