Police arrest man soon after naming him the week’s most wanted

wanted-rollisonLess than 24 hours after being named as Marion’s Most Wanted by the Marion Police Department, officers arrested that man after responding to a report of a burglary in progress very early Wednesday.

Richard Rollison was named this week’s Marion’s Most Wanted and was wanted for a felony warrant for Violation of a Court Order out of Marion County Common Pleas Court.

On April 8, 2015 at 12:42am, officers responded to the Burglary in Progress call in the 200 block of Olney Avenue. Officials said that Rollison, 46, was found walking in the area along with a female by the name of Melissa Rose. The officers said that both Rollison and Rose, 35, gave false names at the scene, but were quickly found out to be lying.

Both Rollison and Rose, who also had an outstanding warrant, were arrested and taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center. In addition to their active warrants, both were initially charged with Obstructing Official Business and Rollison was charged with Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.

The case will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for the filing of formal charges.
